They do not work well on uneven tiles, textured plates, unfinished marble, wallpaper, painted walls, or similar surfaces. If initial installation is problematic, clean the suction cups, dry them with a hair dryer, and test them on a smooth glass surface. If suction holds, the surface may not be suitable for the suction cups. Switch to a different installation location.
